Corvettes of Charlotte County was established in 1990. We are the longest running Club in Charlotte County originating as Classic Corvettes of Charlotte County. In 1995 we registered with Charlotte County as Corvettes of Charlotte County (CCC) and we remain so today as a not for profit organization.
A testament to our viability is the fact that there are now three Corvette Clubs in Charlotte County (the other two were each started by former members of our club) and yet CCC remains a viable and vibrant club today ..and we are still growing! Since we are an exclusive club, with ownership in the Motor Sports Park at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY, we have placed a limit of 25 full time Florida resident cars on our membership numbers. Seasonal residents are welcome to apply.
Our members view their club membership as a great way to enjoy their Corvettes, and share their motoring enthusiasm, with amiable other Corvette owners and are all eager to promote the preservation of the Corvette as the true American Sports Car. We are a social club of members who wish to Save the Wave (the traditional hand wave from one Corvette driver to another as you ride the roads of the USA!)
We meet the 1st Wednesday of each month, courtesy of Rick Treworgy, at his Muscle Car city Museum, Rt. 41 South, Punta Gorda, FL. Rick has also partnered with us in the purchase of our acre of land at the Corvette Museum Sports Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky. As noted above, we are the ONLY club in Charlotte County to have this honor of ownership in the Motor Sports Park !
Our members plan monthly outings, open to all members, to local car shows, nights out for dinner, lunch or brunch. Whatever the plan, we enjoy each other's company and love driving our corvettes to the venue. Our members own many generations of Corvettes and we have members interested in the restoration of vintage Corvettes as well as several members who enjoy the Z06 or Stingray.
We are a fun group headed by a team of Officers, President, VP, Secretary & Treasurer, elected to two year terms.
If you own a road worthy Corvette; enjoy driving it, and are looking to enjoy the company of others who do as well, we would welcome your attendance at a meeting or two. Come see what we are about. Check out our "Meeting" page...join us at the diner at Muscle Car City at 4 PM before the meeting to break bread!
